Well, think of it this way. You can get some sleep this Wintersday.

I did the same waking up every 3 hours to switch characters and not going out on Halloween to get both the pumpkin helms and witches hat. I don't ever want to do that again. Dragon masks? I did those quests about 20 times. Be kinda nice to do them five times and cover all my characters, my cousin's characters and my guildies too.

Well this replaces needing to waste a character for mule hat use....

None of my characters will ever have last year's Grenth's horns, since i was busy grabbing Yule hats.

You cant duplicate what you were'nt there to get.

I'm pessimistic, but come on, look on the brighter side of things for THIS occasion at least~~

Was this the storage that was talked about for holiday hats? That we can delete any copies of the hats we have and only need one of each for every character to use?

Talking about expect the unexpected from Anet, and this will be totaly awesome. This will makes life so much easier to enjoy the events even more instead of rushing to get all our toons there hats.

I'm naturally pessimistic. I can't help it. I'm just a bit annoyed when Gaile Grey asserts something which is somewhat incorrect.

I'll use the Hat NPC to open up room in my storage. But there's not much reason for me to wear a hat anyways...function over form, baby.

Dang, now I wish I would've bought Nightfall when it first came out, so all my characters would have witches hats...

Awesome change, though!

Once you show the hat to the hat guy you could delete all of them and just buy a new one when you are in the mood for that hat for any char.

I welcome this if it indeed "remembers" what hats you have instead of just "copies" them.

I only get hats for 1 character anyway, so If I can just show them to this guy then delete them for more space...more power to this update.

This has been something Runescape has done right for 2 years. There are NPCs that will replace lost holiday items in that game.

Oh this REALLY makes my day... I honestly have not been so psyched about a new update before...

I have been holding on to one of my characters because she is the ONLY one to have gotten the Horns of Grenth last year... (oh yeah and she's almost up for her mini pet)... now I can finally get them for my primary character, and I can re-roll this one (though lol, now watch me not be able to delete her now --- after copying the hat of course --- for some sentimental reason)

Thanks ANet!

Man, dont get me wrong, it's a cool idea but, whats with the aversion to added storage? How about this (although it's way to late for suggestions now) they could have just put a hat tab that once you put in a hat any character could pull it out and wear it. and no, 10 gold isn't anything at all, but why add it? they coulda made the storage feature cost like 1,2 or even 3 plat and it woulda been fine with me. I dunno it feels like they are adding insult to injury imo... now if i want to wear a hat at random i have to travel to la or kam, pay 10 g plus whatever to get it dyed how i had it (like 5k or more for black) or log out and swap it off a mule.... hmmm, the latter still feels like the smarter chioce.

Yeah i'm really happy that they are doing something and adding features for sure, but it's really starting to feel like a screwy way of doing it. Although i could be reading all this wrong too... Please don't flame me *runs off to hide*

I've said it before and I'll say it again. It would be great to have more storage. But you people have to realize it's not as simple as just changing a number in the line of coding and presto you get more storage.

I'm not sure how any of us would know which was easier, coding a new npc or coding 10, 15, 20, hell 1000 hat slots to storage... Perhaps the npc was easier *shrug*

So bottom line, this does nothing to help storage. Can't say I'm surprised.

When I hear hat storage I think of something wear I don't need to dedicate 4+ bag spaces to store different +1 attribute head pieces.

Let's face it nobody is going to pay 10g + dye every time they want to wear a hat, at best it wont do anything, more likely it will just mean people have got even more crap to store since they'll have seasonal hats on more characters.
